If the air fryer does not close, this can be caused by one or more of two things. Either there is food debris between the pan and the lid which will prevent it from closing.
or There is something wrong with your appliance. The first thing to do is unplug it and cover the power cord in water to prevent any electrical mishaps. Next take it apart, especially where the two pieces meet with the latches. There should be a small gap between the two when closed. Make sure there are no stray wires or anything else in that area which could interfere with proper operation of your air fryer. Also check to make sure none of the screws are lose and re-secure them if necessary by giving them an extra turn to tighten them up.
If this still doesn’t fix your problem you may need to call customer service at the number found on your owners manual for further assistance.
