Air fryers are all the rage right now, and for good reason. They cook food quickly and evenly without any of the fat from a deep fryer. Plus, they’re super easy to clean up! However, one question that we get a lot here is whether or not you can put a plate in an airfryer. We decided to find out ourselves! Read on below for our verdict on this popular trending topic.
CAN YOU PUT A PLATE IN AN AIR FRYER?
This is a very common question with a pretty straight forward answer: yes*, you can put a plate in an Air Fryer. In fact, it’s probably easier than lifting your large dinner plates from the cabinet and setting them on your counter. Air fryers are by design more compact than traditional microwaves, so you’ll find that they come with a variety of small appliances to help keep things tidy and organized.
One common example of this is the stacking rack included in some models which allows you to place two plates directly into your air fryer at once! When using an air fryer for items other than plates, however, it’s important to be careful not to overcrowd your appliance. Overcrowding leads to uneven cooking, which ultimately leads to unsatisfactory results. To prevent this from happening, always try not to use too many accessories inside each compartment. With that being said, by all means, feel free to cook sides or desserts in your air fryer. As long as they’re not too large, you should be just fine.
*As with all foods, make sure to keep a close eye on your dishes while cooking! Airfrying has many benefits but it’s not the safest cooking method for certain items like eggs or fish.
